【身近に潜む鬱】どこに目を向け、何をしてはいけないか

メンタル・イデア・ラボの本城ハルです。

今回は身近なメンタルヘルスとして【鬱】を取り上げてみます。

メンタルサポートの原則というものがあります。

それは、大きく４点でその頭文字を取って『ＴＡＬK』といいます。

Tell ➡︎ “言葉に出して”心配していることを伝える。

Ask ➡︎ 『死にたい』という気持ちについて“率直に尋ねる”。

Listen ➡︎ 絶望的な“気持ちを傾聴”する。

Keep safe ➡︎ “安全を確保”する。

です。

すぐに対応や病院受診、カウンセリングなどを考えてほしい例としては、

●食欲不振、不眠、体重減少など身体の不調を訴える。

●リストカット、ＯＤ（オーバードーズ：薬の過剰摂取）などの自傷行為がある。

●家出、放浪がある。

●自己否定的、悲観的な言葉が多く、死や非現実的なことに関心を持つ。→ 『もうどうでもいい』『消えてなくなりたい』『いつ死んでもいい』『死ぬことは怖くない』『生きていたくない』など。

また、下記のようにやってはいけないこともあります。

▶︎話をそらす。

▶︎一方的に話す（体験談なども）。

▶︎無理やり説得する。

▶︎安易に解決策を示す（相手は自分とは違う他者です）。

▶︎安易に励ます（「誰でもツライんだから」など）。

根性論を持ち出して叱咤激励など、とんでもありません。

例：「気持ちを強く持たないと！」「もっと心を強くしなきゃ」など。

コラムでも何度か書いていますが、【自分以外は親であっても（血は繋がっているが）他者】なので、それぞれ認知が違います。肉体的苦痛の忍耐度に差があるように、

心の強度（敏感度、ストレス耐性）も違う

のです。

あなたにとって『たったそれだけで・・・』と思うことであっても、相手は心がヒリヒリ痛かったり、いろんな積み重ねで気持ちが前向きになれなくなっているのです。

楽しいことの想像はできても、人は自分が経験、体験したこと以上の苦痛や辛さ、悲しみ、絶望感や孤独は想像しづらいもので、我が身に置き換えてすらなかなかその苦しみは想像できません。

「自分は心が強いから鬱になんかならない」、これはハズレです。ストレスの感じ方が違うように、鬱になる、ならないのボーダーラインも違うとういことを頭に置いてください。つまり誰でも鬱になり得るということです。

中には自力回復できるレジリエンス力が高い人もいますが、誰かの支えや専門家が介入することで回復が早くなることもあるので、“適切な支え方”を学ぶために相談窓口や専門家に安心して話をしに、話を聞きに行ってほしいと思います。

“いのちの電話”や自治体によって名称はさまざまですが、“心の相談室”“こころの健康センター”などがあります。また厚生労働省では、都道府県や政令指定都市が実施している「心の健康電話相談」の公的な電話相談事業に全国どこからでも同じ番号で通じる

こころの健康相談統一ダイヤル：0570-064-556

を運用しています。

“いのちの電話”は、名称は“いのちの電話”になっていますが、とても心が辛い時に傾聴してもらうための電話ですので、『私はまだそこまで・・・』と考えず、周りの人には話せない、独りぼっちだと感じている苦しい時に話を聞いてもらうことで、ラクになりますので利用を考えてみてください。

また、各保健所にも相談窓口がありますし、ほとんどの自治体にも相談窓口が設けてあります。

さらに厚生労働省のホームページには、相談窓口を運営する各種団体の情報がまとめて掲載されています。こちらも参考にしてみてください。
