パウンダリーという概念【２】

パウンダリー（境界線）について【２】では、例を友人、パートナー、親子、上司と部下と挙げながら境界線を守られていない時の要注意サインや、境界線を守る方法について話を進めます。前回示した図２を参照しながら読んでみてください。

  • 大切にしている本（持ち物）を本当は貸したくないのに友人に貸してしまった。

これは嫌われたくないという気持ちから相手に合わせ過ぎています。自分の気持ちや考えを伝えられず、我慢していることもわかります。それにより、【所持品】、【感情】の境界線が守られていません。

  • ＬＩＮＥやＳＮＳで気付かずレスを忘れた時や飛ばしてしまった時に「無視したでしょ！」と言われた。

それからスマホが気になるようになって着信音を大きくしたり、しょっちゅう確認するようになった。これは【時間／空間】、【感情】の境界線が守られなくなり、自分の生活に影響が出てしまっています。また、すぐにレスが来なかったことに「無視したでしょ！」と責めるメッセージを送った人は、受け取った人の【時間／空間】、【感情】の境界線に踏み込み過ぎています。

  • 「あの子はお母さん好きじゃないから付き合っちゃダメ」

親の考えや価値観を押し付けていることから、【考えや価値観】の境界線を守っていません。「こんな本は読んじゃダメ、捨てたから！」これも断りもなく持ち物を捨ててしまうのは明らかに【所持品】の境界線を踏み越えています。

  • 「日曜は用事があるから会えない」と言ったら、彼から「普通は彼氏を優先させるものだろう」と言われた。

「夫婦なんだからどこで何をしているのか知る権利がある」と勝手にスマホを見られたり、持ち物を調べられる。好きだから嫌われたくない、好きだから怒らせたくない。そのような気持ちになるのは理解はできますが、前者では【時間／空間】、【考えや価値観】の境界線を無視した考え方です。後者は【所持品】、【感情】の境界線を踏み越えた行動・言動です。

  • 「お前は何もできないバカだ」「居なくても誰も困らない」「忙しいんだから残業するのは当たり前だろ」「こんなことで怒るなんておかしい」「（産休）育休取るの？」

これらは【尊厳】、【時間／空間】、【感情】、【考えや価値観】・・・あらゆる境界線をバンバン踏み越えてしまってますね。組織においては、上司などが言葉に言わないまでも企業風土や企業文化そのものが境界線を踏み越えた空気感に満たされている場合もあり得ます。

以下のように感じることがあったら境界線を守られていない要注意サインかもしれません。

  • バカにされる。
  • いつも相手の感覚や意見が優先。
  • 理不尽な命令、パワハラ・モラハラに近い命令をされる。
  • 言動や行動で脅かされる。
  • 相手と違う考えや意見があっても言いづらい。
  • 無視されたり、傷付くようなことを平気で言われる。

境界線を守る工夫として覚えておいてもらいたいことがあります。

●踏み込んでほしくないことには自分でルールを決めておく。
▷○時までに帰る、○円以上は使わない、プライベートは仕事関係者には話さない、など。

●同じ言葉をリピートする。
▷何を言っても相手が自分の境界線に踏み込んで来ようとしたり、何を言われても理由を聞かれても「嫌です」「止めてください」「無理です」「できません／やりません」。

●宣言する。
▷それでも境界線に入り込んで来ようとしたら「次同じことを言ったら帰ります」「まだ言うなら警察に行きます」「大きな声を出します」をはっきり意思表示する。

●その場を離れる。
▷帰る宣言をして帰る。知らん顔してその場を去る。

●時間を置く。
▷自分の気持ちが落ち着く、考えがまとまるまで「少し時間をください」と保留し、時間を作る。

●メッセージを『Ｉ』（アイメッセージ）で発信する。
▷主語を「私は〜と感じる」「（私は）そんな言い方をされると悲しい」「（私は）〜だと嬉しい」など。

企業など組織においては、【自分でルールを決めておく】【時間を置く】【アイメッセージで発信する】などが現実的かもしれませんね。

自分の大切なスペース（エリア）に他者が踏み込んできたり、相手の大切なスペース（エリア）に入り込んでしまっている場合は、境界線を意識することが大切です。

境界線は自分自身が傷付かないことはもちろん、相手を傷付けてしまわないためにも守らなくては（守ってもらう必要がある）いけない重要な概念です。

境界線が守られているかどうかは前記の『自分の気持ち／感情』と『相手との関係』に目を向けてみることです。
